BIOGRAPHY

 

Roger Sadler was born in Edinburgh in 1949 and was educated at the Royal High School, Edinburgh before going on to study at Edinburgh College of Art from 1966-70 (specialising in Graphics). In 1968 Roger exhibited in the Scottish Young Contemporaries Exhibition, and received the Runner-Up prize in the 1969 Pernod Scottish Art Exhibition. Roger graduated in 1970, with a travelling scholarship. He got married in 1972, and his wife is the model in all his works.

 

From 1973 to 2013 Roger has worked in a wide variety of creative roles including working as an artist, visualiser, studio manager and creative director in various advertising agencies and design studios. Throughout his career he has instigated and developed silk-screen printing operation to enhance servicing point-of-sale requirements for major retail chains nationwide across the UK.

 

Roger has recently exhibited in the SSA Open Exhibition 2014; VAS Open Exhibition 2015; RSA Open Exhibition 2015-2017 and McMillan Art Show 2016-2019.
