When you visit, make sure you visit our café; Café Ink, run by Heritage Portfolio. It is a beautiful, artsy and vibrant space that makes the perfect place for meeting up with friends and family while enjoying some delicious seasonal dishes and home-baked goods.
Cafe Ink’s contemporary space is the perfect combination between rustic and modern. It is beautifully surrounded by high windows that brighten up the cafe even on the cloudiest of days. Whether you are looking to escape the busy Edinburgh city centre, shelter from the weather or soak up the sun in our sunny courtyard, Café Ink is the perfect spot to brunch, lunch or grab a light bite!

Lizzie Arber, Retail Development Chef from Café Ink tells us a little bit about the ethos behind the food.
"Our food is contemporary while homely, vibrant, fresh and made with local ingredients. We believe in staying ahead of the newest food trends while providing classic favourites. As part of our efforts to improve sustainability and our impact on the environment there is a strong focus on vegetarian and vegan food on the menu. Two of my favourite dishes on the menu are the avocado and edamame smash, served on toasted homemade cornbread with chilli maple syrup, pea shoots and soy pumpkin seeds and the power bowl which features hot smoked salmon, griddled baby courgette and asparagus, broccoli pesto and sesame, topped with a poached egg. YUM!"
When creating the café, we worked closely with Heritage Portfolio to ensure it was done in a sustainable and ethical way. Old doors from the building were upcycled into tables, glassware is made from recycled jars and we minimise food waste wherever we can.
