More about the course

Opening up the range of possibilities, the course will explore ways to use lithography in a more expressive way, using transfer  techniques to produce multi-layer lithographs with colour blends, overprinting, reduction printing and acid biting.

Some recent stone or plate Lithography experience is required to attend this course. We recommend Stone Lithography evening class or weekend course as the perfect prequel to this course!

This course will cover the following topics:


  • Alternative drawing materials and transfer methods for multi colour printing
  • Acid biting and soap-wash additions
  • Printing blends and overprinting
  • Reduction printing
  • Registration
  • Ink mixing

During the course we will work to aprox. A3 28 x 38.5cm
