Try out different printmaking techniques using our exhibitions, heritage architecture and community garden as a rich source of inspiration and create your own unique prints. All materials provided.
Using the Castlemills building as a starting point you will have the opportunity to develop some ideas and explore them through a selected printmaking technique.
Monday - Building
Using the Castle Mills building as a starting point, you will have the opportunity to develop some ideas and explore them through a selected printmaking technique.
Tuesday - Garden
We’ll explore the Printmakers garden to develop some bold prints, exploring colour, form and texture.
Wednesday - Heritage
The industrial heritage of the building will inform this session – using sheet rubber to create some relief prints and stamps.
Thursday - Exhibitions
Respond to the current exhibitions at Edinburgh Printmakers using text, drawing and printmaking to create a mixed media print.
Friday - Artists
Artist printmakers will inspire this session. You will select a work that you are drawn to and develop your own print in homage to the artist.
