Ade Adesina Showcase

Date: 23 July - 1 September 2019

Time: Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 6pm

Edinburgh Printmakers presents a selection of prints by Ade Adesina, in our shop.

Born in Nigeria in 1980, Adesina trained at the Gray’s School of Art and has since been based in Aberdeen. In 2017 he was elected member of the Royal Scottish Academy. Although he is best known for his woodcarving and linocut, his work ranges from printmaking to painting and sculpture. His prints are included in public collections in Scotland and Germany.

Adesina’s work is informed by the world’s wonderful landscapes and the wounds inflicted upon them. His prints present a visual complaint, bringing to light a bruised world whilst reminding us of the beautiful glory of what we have to lose. With his landscapes, cut from time, the artist invites us to reflect on the past, present, and future.

We have twelve framed works available for purchase, with prices ranging from £430 to £950. For sales and enquiries about these striking works, please contact our Sales & Editions Manager Molly Soar:
