We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be creative.
The success of Edinburgh Printmakers has led to the charity outgrowing its premises. Our current building is cramped and dilapidated and is restricting our creative ambition and ability to be a fully accessible and inclusive organisation.
Edinburgh Printmakers will transform the former North British Rubber Company HQ – Castle Mills, into a vibrant new creative hub opening to the public in 2019.
We will place art and creativity at the heart of Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge area, and a much-loved heritage building will once again serve the community who saved it from demolition.
This £11 million project will create an international centre for printmaking and creative industries. Housing a year-round public programme of exhibitions, events and learning to nurture talent and enrich lives, it will inspire people to connect with their own creativity because “Every artist was first an amateur”- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
This website shares the vision for Edinburgh Printmakers’ future home and is the place to find out more about the past, present and future of the Castle Mills development project.
There is an exciting future for Edinburgh Printmakers but we need your help. Please support this project by donating.
